Krut, not this year. Next year for sure. I presume Dragoon is MOTD? Or is that something different?
Hope to see you at the MetroplexMini meetings, and since you are in Grapevine, that means you are required to go to Happy Hour Wests! Best stuff ever! Crazy fun crowd!

Daff: I tend to post on the metroplexmini boards more then here now.. This place was great to meet all the R56 waiters, but the whole "We hate R56's" really got to me, while my local club could care less

Agreed. Hopefully in about 6-10 months the r56 forums will become a little more exciting. Now it seems like 90% of the threads are about tracking cars as they go through the production/shipping process and people asking what options they should get or what colors they should choose.

been very busy with my R56.....only half way through second tank of gas, BUT:

-had front bumper off about 35 times while developing new front "middle" light brackets that will allow multiple brands and endless positioning of driving lights right in front of the bumper (not interfering with air to the intercooler, etc.)...final production units to be done late tuesday in which case I will get 4 Hella Black magic lights mounted for extra sweetness....

- put 17" Special edition team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 (black with machined lip) and Toyo tires on.

- had front right sway bar end link rip out of the housing and trash a tire with 32 miles on it. bought new tire.

-completely gutted the interior from the A pillars back to put complete JL Audio system in including 8" sub in a false floor in the boot (VERY stealth install)....

- did R+D testing of the new Out Motoring coilovers and have had 3 sets of spring combinations on the car....with one more spring change to go before leaving for the Dragon on wednesday.

- installed Alta 22mm rear bar

- installed Alta adjustable rear control arms

- installed front Alta sway bar end links

- swapped out front grill facia for black JCW set.

- put on 2 tow hooks (hard work...)

- bought duplicate set of body trim/arches along with JCW side skirts, had paint matched along with the headlight trim rings and tail light trim rings...

- installed all of the above

- designed graphics that I have yet to get made and will install sometime near midnight on tuesday before the Dragon.

- planned and prepped our "MINI" store for the Dragon....bringing over $10K in product for sale...

- finalized production and release of Gen 1 Custom Gauge Faces...

- have a "check engine light"...not sure what is going on....

- need to get car aligned by wednesday at noon for 7 hour trip south...

- put on Carbon Fiber JCW mirror caps....

- been busy? Yes. Car looking good. YES...

Not sure what the cause is in your case, but this has been happening to lots of folks. Seems just an ECU glitch that's being sorted out...that's what I heard anyway.

..it could also be that the driving lights and temp gauge are disconected until I get the brackets in (take off bumper, put on bumper, take off bumper, put on bumper x 30)....that's my guess but I have been following the CEL threads also just in case....

Well, I guess I am a big dork, I thought this was another thread about choosing posters to hang in a dorm room.

I'm one more vote to get as much general discussion in, well, General Mini Discussion. Once the aftermarket parts pick up, I'm sure there will be more action here.

Meanwhile, I guess this is still the right place to keep up the introductions of our wheels as they roll in! And I think the Production week groups, etc. have been a great way to build camaraderie for the new folks. Let's hope they (me/we) stick around!

I know my posts have trailed off because
1. I haven't had any issues
2. the weather is nice, finally
3.I'm enjoying the car much more than blogging about it...

I haven't gone away, but since the car (and the nice weather) came I've been driving, the posts have in fact diminished. I've also been waiting for the weather to clear so I could wash the car and take some better pics.
