first freakout!!!

so i get in my car yesterday to grab a bite for lunch and the freakin ENGINE light came on!!! (no it wasn't my gas cap, so shush it!) took it in to get it checked and they said that MINI programed the emmissions sensors to be too sensitive... not to worry that they were working on a fix and would call me and i could come back so they could reprogram it for me... :-D they even washed my baby for me while i waited... greatness... they smudged her windows but all in all did a good job...

btw... motoring to Houston, TX today... back home tomorrow... if u texaminians see a o2/b expect a wave and a honk!!!

My OB also has engine light on...came on around 920 miles. On the phone the SA said it's probably my gas cap...I know it isn't because I hadn't gotten gas for a week. So, it must be the same issue as yours, but I still have to bring the car in for them to check it out. Inconvenient but as long as it isn't something serious, I'm okay with it. You should post at the "official" Engine Light thread where a count is being kept of this issue.

Definitely a glitch. Today the light went out. It was raining...I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Well my light's been coming on too and there's "some sort of sensor that's not right" and that "Mini is aware and is trying to get a solution" soon so... until my car starts actually acting weird, I should not panic and I guess, neither should you!

That's what we get as owners of new generation Minis I suppose! Gotta take the good (lots of them) with the bad (hardly any save for this small annoyance)

Spring weather down here. We can go from blue skies to downpour and back to blue skies in the blink f an eye.
Helps keep the maximum amount of humidity.
