My leatherette looks like leather and I never have to worry about my dog leaving clawmarks on it.

She's a big sweety. What a GOOD GIRL!

Thanks for all the advice. In the end I went with the Carbon Black Lounge Leather. I thought the piping looked very classy. The leather is very high quality and I prefer it to the leather I had in my X5.

Here are a few interior pics.

I went for the black lounge leather. At first I thought it was very slippery, but then I realized that I just hadn't found the best seating position. Now I feel just as comfortable as I did in my old car.

The lounge leather is definitely one of the more upscale leather seating surfaces that I've seen in most cars.

Most cows (90%) get slaughtered in the first 12-18months of their life - is that a bad sign for the durability of the leather seat?

Sorry Robin, couldn't read your reply without laughing through it!

The configurator stinks re: showing the interior options IMO. The leatherette looks awful on it yet in person isn't bad at all. I choose to go Rooster Red cloth/leather combo myself. In the end, its all what YOU like!
