Stopped by the local BMW dealer and saw that the 2008 models are out. Will Mini follow suit and get their 2008 MY out early?

 

So you saw stock of 2008s on the lot? What models and did they state the changes? Or were they just taking orders for 08s? I've heard of other car companies that are now taking orders for 08s that expect to be delivered at the end of the summer but they don't even know any changes to prices or options yet.

 

Nope, they were 2008 cars. The sticker even said so. I was looking at the E60 5-series. They had the new 535I. Seems awful early for a 2008 model car.

 

BMW freshened the 5 series. MINI 07s were announced in Feb and are just now trickling through the pipeline to dealer. My dealer will have a full months delivery in May for the first time.

 

The 2008 5 Series was released early due to the mid-cycle refresh. The 2008 MINI coupe will be out in October.
