PDC & Sat Nav

Mystery solved. The Park Distance Control graphic does indeed show up on the navigation screen on U.S. models of the R56.

I picked up my car today in Portland and the PDC worked the same with the navigation system as it does in the U.K.

Several months ago, I had read that the U.S. system was an audible warning only. But I was never able to confirm that or confirm that we would get the navigation graphic, either.

It looks great. I'll let you know if it works great, too, if I don't hit anything backing up in the next six months.

Thanks for resolving the mystery. I couldn't imagine why BMW would have disabled that feature for the USA. Glad it is there. Mine is on a ship anchored outside the Panama Canal.
