On pg 20-21 of the manual it is talking about the setting for what the car will do when you lock/unlock the car.
There seems to be a way to activate an acoustic signal for the process. I do not have that icon available to me as a selection. I also do not have the icon for lights + sound. Is this something that is only present when you have the Mini alarm?

 

It's a standard feature. I would double check/try it again and see if maybe you missed something before.

 

I believe you can only have the sound when you have the alarm.
