ok... so the gas pedal comes out of the floor... that's fine... wth am i supposed to do about cute floor mats?! I didn't wanna pay that much for the rubber ones from the dealer but it looks like I'm screwed if i want sumfin cute on them. I wanted to go w/ the blue floral set from wally world but the floor mats don't have a spot for the gas pedal... i was thinkin of trimming them but i'm worried that the mats will fray (if cloth) or rip if rubber... i've been tryin to find some w/ cuteness on em from the mini accessories sites but all they have is the stuff w/ the mini logo or the plain black rubber...

If cloth, use "No-Fray" which you can find in the sewing section at Wally World.

If rubber, use an artists' brush to apply a thin coat of black silicone automotive adhesive on the raw edges. You can find it in the automotive section at Wally World.

 

Your dealer didn't give you a free set of floor mats???

and no, my dealer has not YET offered me free floormats... i did everything online... i've only been to the dealer once and that was months ago when i first test drove the mini and fell head over heels for them... lol...

it's just that the set at wally werld has little abstract daisies that match the paint... would be just too much cuteness! :-D plus would keep my hubby out from behind the flowery wheel...

The mini rubber floor mats aren't that good a fit actually. Well the passenger side is fine, but the one on the drivers side moves around as there is nothing to hold it in place.

BritBoy, the (free) carpet floor mats I got have velcro to keep them from sliding around. They work great!
