True, but I don't think it applies to the once a year windshield chip fix. I think they'd much rather pay to have the chip fixed than pay for a new windshield after it the crack spiders out.

I was about to start a new post on this, but figured i'll add to this one.

I have two different chips to fix... any suggestions?

I got the first chip a few months back on the bonnet above the right headlight, but it's white so i guess that means it didn't go down to the paint. It's about the size of a small nail head.

Now, the second one went right down to the metal and is glaring silver... it's just to the left of the mini logo on the front and is bigger - probably about the size of a ballpoint pen clicker thing...

Anyway, I have to go in for service in a couple of months. Should I wait or do I need to get them both fixed now, or just the metal-showing one? I dont' think touch up paint would work for the bigger one since the paint is kind of raised on one side where i guess it ripped off...

Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated!

Man this thread is really sealing my thoughts on getting a clear bra as soon as I take delivery of my MINI.
