I just cannot decide on the color.

I give up. I keep changing my mind about the color. I put my deposit down but the actual production begins in late May so I don't have to decide until then. However, I just cannot stay loyal to one color.
I have eliminated Green, Sparkling silver, Astro black, Lightening blue, Chili red.
I like white, dark silver and I am considering yellow, laser blue, and pure silver.
I give up.

Have you had the opportunity to see all of these colors in person? That might further reduce your choices a bit. You may find some colors jump out at you more and you like them more than you anticipated. On the other hand some may not live up to the catalog expectations.

Also, take into consideration the weather where you live. Here in Washington, it's virtually impossible to keep a black or white car looking good for more than about 2 or 3 days (rain, wet roads, grit & grime kicked up by other cars, etc.).

I know what you mean. I live in WA as well. My wife has a black car and my current car is white.
I never had a dark silver car and I always liked them. And the current car is my 3rd white car... I don't know.... I will probably keep changing my mind until the car goes into production and after that I won't have a choice but to stay with that color.

Imagine yourself spotting your car in a parking lot. Would you think "hey, there's my car".

Imagine it in the driveway. Would it look odd? (Not like a green house and a yellow car, although that'd be a consideration maybe if you're in Oregon or Wisconsin) Is it an image that feels right?

OK, think of interior and exterior combos- what appeals to you????

Ext/ interior
White/
Dk Silver/
Yellow/
Laser Blue/
Pure Silver/

Both Laser Blue and Dark Silver are MCS only colors so that makes them exclusive. If you want to stand out those are good choices.

Dark silver metallic with black interior and black roof and mirrors is aggressive, so would be Dk Silver roof and mirrors.

Laser Blue/white or blue roof would be fairly light in color or bright. Good with silver or chrome wheels or if LB/white roof then white wheels. Interior could be blue, black, or brown leather.

Yellow really stands out, black interior or brown leather is more conservative red leather or blue interior would stand out.

White with brown or red interior would be nicely contrasting. White roof with silver is nice.

Pure silver is classic, black roof is aggressive, black interior more conservative, red interior would stand out.

Looka at your wardrobe. What's the predominant color? That may help you decide what color you will enjoy the longest.

Hopefully, it isn't plaid. Seriously, I don't necessarily mean actual color only, but hues, color families....

You've eliminated some of the best colors.

Sorry, can't help you. You're hopeless.

Precisely my reason for narrowing my choices to Laser Blue, Mellow Yellow, or Chili Red.

I live in the Seattle area and have Dark Silver/White top. It stays relatively clean during the rainy months and looks great in the summer.

Or you could flip a coin. Two colors face off then the finalists. Much easier

I'm having the same problem, I had dreams last night about picking colors that how bad it's getting. I'd pick something that you wouldn't get bored with, if your planning to keep the car for a while, like black, white, silver, red are always in

as soon as I saw the EB/Black I knew I had to have it.

Of course then I added a roof decal and other decals on the car, so you cant see the black roof, and the EB is there, but under a lot of stickers... LOL

I just kept looking at real live ones until I decided. It was a long, tough process with many changes of mind (I believe I have my original mind back now).

I chose Pure Silver with the same color roof, partly for practical reasons. Somewhere I read that an insurance company study found that white and silver cars are most visible to other drivers. A black roof looks good, but silver should stay cooler in the summer sun.

However, Pure Sliver doesn't seem to be that popular a color. Dark Silver and Sparkling Silver (Champaign) seem to be more popular. They do look good. Sparkling Silver might be a good compromise between a light, visible, cool in summer color, and a darker elegant color. It has a certain sophistication to it.

yep, I had the same problem.

I was trying to choose between Laser Blue, Dark Silver, and Pepper white.
I ended up choosing LB, since it stands out more than the other two.
waiting for delivery next week, so I don't know how I like the color yet.

My problem at the time..I ordered the car before the '07s were at the dealer, so I had no idea how the Laser Blue looked in person. I just took a chance.

GOOD LUCK with your decision.
At least you have until May to decide. It will come to you..I'm sure of it.

The MINI Cooper white (pepper white) is a great color. Add black as a contrasting color and you have one very sharp looking car.

As was stated earlier, white is usually easiest to see (safer), a good color for places where cloudy skies are more frequent than sunny. On the other hand, I love the dark silver but that's one of the hardest cars to see (not much contrast between that color and asphalt). But, I suppose, if you program your car to run with daytime running lights maybe there wouldn't be all that much difference between any of them safety wise.

One more point .. If you get pepper white rather than one of the metalics, that leaves $450 to spend on something else (maybe the cold weather package .. still leaving enough for dinner and drinks for 2 at Sky City Restaurant atop the space needle).

I thought you originally said you wanted something unique. At least 1/2 the MINIs I see are white. They do look great in white and any MINI is fairly unique, but still........

Exterior color is easy. Pick the interior color first and decide on which exterior color looks best with your interior.

If you cannot make up your mind about the interior color, then throw a dart at the color chart and coordinate from their.

Yes!

It really helps a lot to know what interior environment you want. Once I looked at and poked around some interiors we changed the order from the red cloth combo to the blue leather on our 05 which made us re-evaluate the paint choices. Then after we found we loved the how the saturated intense HB metallic changed with the lighting and went to that (and this was all a surprise, I thought for sure I was not a blue car person ) - then the white lid followed as we realized how cool and Mini-ish that looked.

It was painful though, and all changed at the last minute, so good luck to ya. Be sure to visit your dealers and photoshop obsessively, the time will simply fly by
