AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I paid my MINI a visit today. It hasn't been through PDI yet, and I expect my lousy dealer won't have it ready until next week.

You think waiting for a boat is bad? This is much worse! :impatient

Phew, the way this thread started I expected to see an all out complaint on my whining. Good to know I ain't the only one who does.

I wish I could say I feel your pain. But I dunt(tm). I am too sefl-absorbed to get past my own pain.

Seriously though. Hang in there. As my Wife likes to assure me, "Good things come to those who wait." She is also found of telling me, "You really are just nuts, you know that dunt(tm) you?".

I feel your pain dneal,
My MA told me last Monday that my car should arrive early this week, OL say estimate dilivery day was 03/31/07. I have yet heard from my MA
I just can't understand why can't my MA keep me properly update, at least let me know if the car has arrived and will I be picking up my car this week. She has not ever contact me with update unless I e-mail her first.
Argh!!!! OK I am done ranting.

OMG WE ARE ALL SUFFERING SO MUCH!
They should build factories in all major cities in the world, with robots that can build MINIs in an hour! So we only need to go in, buy a ticket(mind you a very expensive one), and then come back in an hour for the new car!
This is actually good cuz with only robots building the car, theres no human error, everything is built to factory standards, and we can pick up right away!
They should call this Fast-car-dealership.
*runs off for a patent bending*

ooh~ or they can make laser beams that can absorb microorganism and tiny metals in the air and just beam a new car out! (aka star trek)

I ordered it at the end of Feb, with a week 9 production "garanteed". That got bumped to week 11, which got bumped to week 13. After a "pleasant" visit, they got it bumped back up to week 12.

Now they're waiting on the bill of sale to be returned from the NATO tax office. The reason that's late is that they didn't send me the VIN (which I needed to finalize the loan), when they received it. I got it 6 days after them.

Since this weekend is a 4-day holiday for Germans, I have until 4PM Thursday for them to unscrew everything (highly unlikely), or I wait until Tuesday (or maybe even Wednesday).

The worst part is that I planned 2 weeks vacation some time ago, and was going to take my son to EuroDisney before I deploy to Afghanistan this summer. That's looking to get cancelled as well, but I'll figure something out.

Just lovely!

<snif><snif>Mine does not exist yet to sneak in a take! WAAAAAAHHHHH!

naruto16, you have to put more spirit into that whine. I give you a 1 on the whine-o-meter (whine-o as in bellyaching and complaining, not drinking). You need more WAAAH!, more expressions of grief, more CAPITAL letters, and definately more selfishness. Or, you could leave it to the pros. Afterall, this is not something your amatuers should try at home!

You can always kneel before your MA and plead for a faster make-ready...

The way my MA has been, he's more likely to get a swift kick.. uh, ... between the knees.

It's a longer (and uglier) story than the brief bit I posted above. Fortunately, the lead salesman took over and has improved the situation a little.

Which is very close to what will happen. On vacation with no Mini, get the car a few days before I go back to work.

UPDATE: Today they put the antenna and centercaps on, and removed some of the door edge protector!!

At this rate, I should get the car just about the time I have it paid off!

I'm ending up taking the boy to Disney this weekend, and will be back to (hopefully) pick up the car Wednesday.

Yet another update: So I email my MA saying "I guess the bill of sale didn't come today. I'll pick the car up next Wednesday when I get back from Disney".

He emails back an hour later that he has the bill of sale, and thought I didn't want the car until next week, so he didn't have it prepped. What a fuggin' idiot. I guess the part where I told him my son and I wanted to take the car on the trip didn't penetrate his thick head.

I feel like Yosemite Sam right now... "Sassafrassinnrassin..."
