Any drum'n'bass track from LTJ Bukem's Progression Sessions or some tasty early '90's jungle. When the new MCS JCW arrives in November. Sigh.

Johnny Cash. But some of my friends had the perfect song planned, and their IPods would only play alpha order (ABBA!) Over and over and over. . .

when i get around to the stereo, i think it'll be, anthrax: metal thrashing mad, really really loud. its all about driving as fast as possible, on second thought maybe thats not a good song for an easy break in...

This is a pretty funny blog. You can really tell the ages of the drivers by the song choices!
How about the 1812 Overture!

QUEEN's
"I'm In Love With My Car"
That one's a "MUST HAVE!"

I think my first song in my 03 MC was "American English" by Idlewild. First song in the new 09 MCS was "Lucky Today" by Cloud Cult (it's the song from the E-Surance commercial).

Coming up on my one year anniversary.
First song was Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf, it has indeed been a magic carpet ride too.

I didn't pay attention to the first song played in our MINI, but last Monday evening:
My wife and I took our son and daughter in law to dinner. I hit the garage door opener and ignition at the same time and on came Bohemian Rhapsody. For a few brief moments, we were taken for a ride in the Mirthmobile. A perfect start for the evening.
For those who wonder, my son at 6'2" was comfortable behind the driver's seat.
