LOL--I've owned mine 27 days, and have 2300 miles on it--NO trips, and no commuting. Guess I need to settle down and take big brother BMW occasionally...nah!

You'll love your MINI!

all new minis now have standard push button ignition. go Check out Motoring File.com if you have not been there. Go back a couple pages and ther is a lot of info to be found. You can find that question on MF juset do a search. Also on the bottom of MF there is section look at the R56. That is what the 2007 is. Welcome to NAM

The factory Aero Kit and the JCW kit are not the same. Do not get the factory kit!! It is hideous - unbelievably hideous.

Here is the JCW kit: http://motoringfile.com/2007/02/28/2...lly-announced/
It is a nice and aggressive kit. It is a dealer installed option, so you'll have to include the cost of paint and installation.

Here is the MINI factory aero kit:

Be warned!! You are about to enter a realm of grotesque-osity and if you have recently eaten, I recommend you reconsider clicking the link. Also if there are any children present, please avert their eyes.
For comparison, that page also has the JCW kit pictures from the previous link.

Welcome to the MINI family. Enjoy making the car yours, but avoid the factory kit at all cost! :D

If you order online or if you go to a dealer & place an order it will be MSRP (at most dealers except for a few in CA that still have the gall to mark them up a few K) I know the dealer I bought from in GA charges MSRP for orders BUT if you want a new one that they have on the lot they used to mark them up (but that was 2 years ago & could have changed)

WOW STi guy, that's quite a leap, especially with how modded your car must be. My buddy has an 03' EVO VIII that's putting down 300 whp and I don't think I could get out that, but that's just me. The Mini is an icon like the EVO but in a different way

dealer install the JCW Aero kit for $3370. That for the paint job and installation, which include the Aero kit. So is about $2000 they charge for labor.

How is a regular WRX an upgrade from a 25k dollar german sports car .

I spent close to 33k for my car in the end after tax, etc. And it was an 06! Remember you're comparing a 3200 lb wagon to a 2600 lb sports coupe.

I have a 2002 WRX which I love and has been a joy to own, but now that it's paid for I'm considering going into debt for...a new MCS.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one out there.

I am also looking to go to and 07 MCS. I have an 04 STi stage2. I am trying to wait for the factory JCW to come out which may be into next year. Just drove the 07 MCS yesteday. I really do like the new car. The JCW aero kit looks great in my opinion. I did a short test drive and was really impressed. Power is similar to our modded 06 MCSc.

We are headed towards being a 2 MINI w/ Mini family.
