It depends on a lot of variables.

Mine is doing ok, but for the last 6 months I've been living on a dirt road and doing a lot of interstate driving. It would do much better if I could get away from large gravel.

Also, it depends on the quality of the vinyl you use. If I was using a vinyl with a laminate over it it would likely last longer, and if I had chosen a glossy color I could help protect it with wax.

Either way, I don't think a vinyl wrap will last forever, so I would get familiar with how to work with it unless you plan to pay a professional to fix it every time someone dings your door or you get a large amount of gravel thrown on your car.

As far as weather is concerned, I would say it could hold up to anything short of hail.

New owner... first mini...

Hi all,

This is my first post and I thought I'd show off my new 08 MCS PW/PW with the new stripes I just added ( took me a whole two weeks to get the "modding" addiction). I searched the forums for PW minis with red stripes and they aren't very many it seems. Hope it's not because everyone thinks they're ugly.

Anyhow here are some pics of "Tumbleweed"....

Really like the Red stripes on the PW MCS! Unique for sure.
I'd be tempted to lose the side stripes, however.
Either way, it still looks great!

Funny you should say that John. My wife and the graphics guy that did the stripes thought I should do side stripes, but I wasn't convinced, so I only had him do the Viper style stripe. When I went back to pick up the car, it seemed to just beg for side stripes (wives are ALWAYS right anyway!) so I brought it back to have them added. I'm happy with the result after the initial nervousness of doing red.

I guess I'm kinda old school (the r56 kinda has double meaning, I now own an r56 and " I are 56"). Definitely wanna tint it, but kinda wavering on wheel choice. Never had considered black wheels. Can't decide whether to go the blacked out look or the chrome look. Guess i'm going to have to play around on Tire Rack.
