Robert and JoAnne--you wouldn't happen to be our friends in Arkansas, would you?! Yup, we still have our 356--do you? Congrats on your new MINI--lots of fun, aren't they? Didn't know you were in the market for one!

Pictures ARE coming, guys--we took them today and we're downloading now. I hope to post some in a little while...

Thanks, Trinity! I wish I could photo the brilliant, yet deep, red, but you'll have to see it in person...

We've already got about 150 miles, and the fun is just beginning!

Thanks for the pics, Deb! Aside from the Union Jack mirror caps (which look awesome, btw), that's pretty much the Mini I spec'd!

Hope you're having tons of fun with it!

Again, congrats Daffodildeb!!! Cool pics. You guys are so lucky, us west coasters still have our MINIs hanging around the VDC. Enjoy and stay safe Oh, are those 16" bridge spokes? Any chance you could take a profile shot? I have bridge spokes on order too. Thanks!

Yes, they're 16" Bridgespokes. Actually, that was the only thing my hubby didn't like in person--we might change them out for something else. The configurator looks SO different that we actually had to check the invoice! Personally, I don't look at the wheels when I'm driving, so who cares? And they definitely will be easy to keep clean--important considering all that black dust the German brake pads exude! (Why is that, anyway?)

I don't know why the rest of the country had to wait so long, but here in Texas we've gotten our cars remarkably easily and early. Good thing, though, because spring is definitely here. It's time to drive sunroof open.

My garden has...daffodils!

Thanks, Billie, but it's "Zipeee!", with an extra e and an exclamation mark... Rhymes with an exuberant Yippee!

No, we didn't have enough light to do the interior. I'll post when I can, but it's the standard leatherette interior, with a fluid silver option.

Congrats on the car -- very nice indeed!

If possible, could you also add some side-on pictures of the outside, taken from different heights? I have concluded the 16-in S-Winder wheels look too small to my eyes, but your wheels look just fine to my eyes and I'd much prefer 16-in with sport suspension on the cratered paths they call roads in my neck of the woods. I had not yet seen Bridgespokes on a CR Cooper S, so I'd be grateful for additional pics!

Congratulations on Zippeee! I'm still waiting for my CR/W S. Of course I had to re-order and it's snowing in Pittsburgh anyway. I personally like the Bridge spokes. Let us know how the ride is. Don't remember, did you order the sport suspension.

I noticed your wheels as that's exactly what I ordered. I was concerned when I ordered too but I think they actually look ok - at least at the angles you're showing. The car is beautiful - so jealous here on the East Coast!!!

I noticed the same thing! Tons of brake dust! Im going to have to wash Maddy before taking her on a club drive this weekend. It looks like we will have to rinse our rims quite a bit to keep them clean.

Ride is great--firm, but not jarring. I don't have the sport suspension--we were afraid it would be too rough. For that reason we also elected to trade out the 17s that came on the sport package with some 16" tires--a dealer swap. I'm happy with my selection--this is a daily driver, with occasional autocrosses, and probably no track days (if I can keep my hubby off!). I was visiting a friend yesterday who lives on a country lane--I was afraid he would feel it was too rough riding so I warned him that it was a "sports car with a back seat" but he kept raving about the ride...

I'll try to get some pictures later today, but it's icky weather right now--pretty dark.

Congrats on the car!
Question:
I am confused about the lead time for the car....Week 3 production to this week (Feb 19, Week 8) is only 6 weeks.....
Did you wait 3 weeks between when you ordered and when it went into production?
The 6 weeks part seems really fast!

Supposedly, I am slated for a Week 11 build (The week of March 5th?)

I think the orders in December were quequeing (sp?) into production. Mine was a reconfigured dealer order, which also might be how it's calculated. I dunno--I ordered December 13, and the car was at the VDC before the official release date--actually arrived there about February 4.

Hey daffdeb absolutely love the car, and I am very jealous, I just want mine now, should be at the dealers next week! I especially love the union jack mirror caps since I am English.
