Insurance question

I live in California and have typical insurance on a SUV still being financed and a free and clear honda accord coupe. Will I be in for a big surprise in buying a new MC. Is the price higher for this car and is the S version higher than the base. Thanks

I did a quote for a MCS on my insurance company's (USAA) website and for a 40 year old single male with no tickets in the last 6 or 7 years and NEVER a moving violation or at-fault accident, it is going to cost me about $800 per year. I also have a 95 F-150 and a 98 Chevy Venture, both paid off but with full coverage and no deductibles.

Can I ask you why you choose to carry Collision coverage on an 11 year old truck and a 9 year old car, let alone having $0 deductibles ? You do realize, should you be involved in an accident with one of them, their value is next to nothing, right ?

I'm not saying you don't have a valid reason. I just can't imagine what it would be.
