That's funny! I love MINI advertising. They should have taken that silly graphic off the side of the MINI though. And it's wierd they took off the chrome gas cap as well...
Although there is reason to believe some of the stunt work was actually a R53. I searched and couldnt find this posted already. enjoy: http://www.hammerandcoop.com/
Hey, my MA called me this afternoon -- I was shocked - I thought my car was in. He called to see if I wanted invites to a MINI event in NYC for a premiere showing of Hammer and Coop.
I guess they are commercials in a movie preview style to run in theaters prior to movies, but I guess I'll find out. He said they'll be showing Ghost Rider after. MINI's and a burning skeleton on a bike -- hmmm who could ask for anything more?
There's going to be MINI givaways and the tickets are exclusive to new MINI owners -- I wonder if they'll have parking since it's in the middle of Manhattan and I should have my new MINI by then.
In episode 2, if you watch carefully, you can see it switch to being the mocked-up R53 they used for stunts just before it crashes through the mirror. They blacked out the lower grille, but the fog lights disappear and are replaced by the turn signal lights, making them look like they suddenly change position, but they did think to do the orange in the headlights.
He's been a cast member on Mad TV for a few seasons and has had roles in several television shows ... plus a few smaller movies here and there. Very funny guy.
I recognize the bad guy in the 4x4, too... but it hasn't come to me yet where I've specifically seen him...
I believe this is the same guy who played the American fighter in "Blood Sport", who got beat up pretty bad...a Van Damm kung fu movie. They added the facial hair.....
