Man, I'm SO JELOUS!!! That looks like it's going to be such a great weekend!

I have a couple requests, if anyony is listening:

-Pics of the interior options. Specifically Redwood Red and the BACK seats. I've seen tons showing the two fronts, and a 1/2 & full views towards the dash. But never the back, or looking into the back with one of the new seats folded foreward (new mechanisim). Curious what the back seats in the new cars look like.

-Any Dark Silver cars on site? Other colors we haven't seen yet?

-Can anyone get a firm answer on who is making the Turbo unit for MINI? Borg Warner? Garrett? Someone else? Model number and info?

That shot of the Red/Aero kit Cooper looks goood. The others are...Different.

Anyone else notice that the Red one looks a lot like a classic?

RE: Fake Hood Scoop
It's going to be fake. The JCW package will not make it "functional".

RE: the MFSW issues
MINIUSA brought this issue up with US first. We didn't even have to ask. They are very aware of this and are working on something, but they also want to make sure of all the detail involved. See more of an update in the MFSW thread.

RE: Camber
No camber adjustment in the front of the car. I tried to impress upon MINIUSA that a design change to include some (any) camber adjustability in the car would be greatly appreciated by their owners that are competing the car in stock classes.

Looks like you got to drive up South Mountain. That's a fun road for sunsets.

SS for the win! I love this color even though it's been called an 'old-folks' color.

If these seats are the 2 tone leatherette they are very nice. Nice tones -- much more subtle that the high contrast renderings in the configurator.

Thanks for the photos.
I guess that GP is 2006?

With that single box muffler, the exhaust note should be pretty good/louder on the R56.

Whats your take on the exhaust notes of the S Dave?

Also, what did u enjoy more on the track? The GP or the R56?

FANTASTIC photos! It was great to see the R56 set against my old "stompin' grounds" of Phoenix. Can't wait for the Bay Area release later this month...

Is that a rhetorical question? I like the R56 and all... but having driven' one or not, I can recon a guess at the answer to this one:

A Works car of any generation... ESPECIALLY a limited production car like the GP... wins out again a production S.

I am so frustrated by the fake hood scoop! I can't get over it. I guess I'll look at the Rabbit R32 that will be shown in Chicago this week.

Tires

Looks like the performance runflats are the Dunlop SP Sport 01, as reported elsewhere.

For what it's worth, here is a YouTube video of the R56 Cooper S exhaust:
