Tracking an ordered MINI at sea

I typed my vin # into the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website under the heading Auto cargo and discovered that my MINI was loaded in Southampton 12/29/06 on a vessel named "Toronto" it's call sign for this voyage is LAFG6, destination New York. This ship dosen't seem to report weather and location on any other web sites as some transport ships do. I guess my next info will come from the owners lounge tracking when it gets to the vehicle distribution center. Is anyone else on NAM got a car on this particular boat?
A rather informed(or misinformed) person at 1-866-ask MINI told me that he did not think pre ordered cars would be held until mid Feb as some on NAM had suggested, he even talked to his supervisor who did not thing this would be the case, I keep hearing so much conflicting information about this aspect of purchase
Well happy waiting..........zzzzzz..........

Have you tried these sites?

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html#search

http://www.aislive.com/AISLivePortal...ndex=0&tabid=1

I was able to track my Emma onboard a WW ship via sailwx. Good luck with the wait.

Mininovice: My MC was also on the "Toronto" and is now at the distribution center in NJ. My MA (Anja) from "Mini of Richmond", VA called today and told me no cars will be released to buyers before the "official release date". Mine is scheduled to be on the truck on 2/16, arriving at the dealer on 2/17. They will need two days "prep" time (driving lights, etc.) so I should not expect it before 2/19 at the earliest.

thanks -- that sounds like just like what I've heard on mine. I think there will be many happy people at the MINI dealerships that week and the next. Seems the flood gates will open up then.

The irony is that 37 days elapsed from the time I ordered my 2007 PW/B MC on 12/04 to its arrival at the Port of NY and 40 days will elapse from the time it arrived at the distribution center until it gets into my hands. I am contemplating driving to NJ and staging a night-time raid to liberate my car.

Wow, I feel for you guys - I can't believe MINI is going to sit on these cars for over a month. I know how antsy I was when Emma hit the VDC in NJ - I thought one week was an awful looong time to wait!
