I had seen some of this footage....but a good bit of it is brand new to me. An excellent find!!! I still think the robots are fascinating/eerie to watch...I'd not seen the ones running around the engine plant!

A fascinating video; watching cars being produced is always awe inspiring, but the MINI is definitely special; more of a personal touch than most cars plants. Thanks for sharing!

A few hundred times a day passes the time and makes the wait easier. [kidding!]

yep they do. The Oxford plant is called BMW Hams Hall Plant. You can call the plant and schedule a tour. My coworker went last year and he said it was a blast.

I highly recommend taking the trip upto the UK and seeing this in person. I did this last year during the production of the R53 and below. Truely spectacular to see how our beloved cars are built. You really begin to appreciate the work and quality that goes into our MINI's.

Even after visiting, I never get tired of watchin the video. Thanks for the post.
