Congratulations on the brilliant car - I'm quite starting to like the new ones. Welcome to NAM as well, and thanks for the post. Keep updating the progress, and by all means post more pics!

Congrats on being one of the first R56 drivers! But I do have to say it... that center console makes me want to Especially since the rest of the interior looks so well made. I hope I warm up to it at some point...

personally i love the little one in between the vents, unless its the only glove box, because it seems so james bond-ish, like you wouldnt expect it to be there and its probably just big enought o hold a small handgun like he would have.
hey chap, if you mean the fancy flippy up one that is on the passenger side above the glove box, you only get that if you spec the Storage Pack option. On a standard spec R56, it's not there.

You do get a little cubby hole down by the cup holders tho :]

yeah it's on the left, but it does not bother me, as that's where it was on my old Peugeot. a boot release is a boot release, it does the same thing regardless of where it is :D

anyone have any picture requests btw ?

Hey rec,

thank you so much for sharing your pictures of your new R56. If memory serves correctly, that is the 1st posting here @ NAM of one that a member owns, and not just a prototype or press car.

I can't wait to hear how your story unfolds over the next few months and years. Your MPG already is incredible. It will be interesting to see what happens after the engine starts to loosen up a bit.

Big congrats from the FAR side of the pond ...

Hey Rec: are the gas figures you gave based on imperial gallons or US gallons? I too am very interested to know all about the gas mileage!

it's UK gallons, so I guess it's imperial.

MPG has dropped down to about 35 now :( but i've done 150 miles and it's still reporting about 199 miles left to the tank.

I know the feeling, thought I'd save you the effort as I have a day off today.

Very nice rec! Congrats and thanks for the first real R56 pics!
Love the fact the tach has all the pertinent info displayed. Hate 'togglin' with the turn signal switch thingie on my R53.

Request: Pics of the roof toggle panel and the shift/ebrake (sport mode switch, DSC switch, etc) area?

Thanks!

No arm rest for me. Might be nice for added storage.

Are those English Leather seats? If so, it makes me more upset we can't get those seat bottoms here in the states. They look good.
