Have we heard anything at all about the automatic transmission in the US? Availability, anyone driven it, anything?

Was there any news at this party about the US launch/availablity at all?

 

Don't know in the US. Here it is clearly mentioned in the option list, but it won't be available from the beginning (if i'm not wrong it's expected in 2007).

I'm expecting it will be available in the US as well

 

This may be slightly off the original thread topic, but have everyone missed the fact that the new MCS is 16,000 GBP (according to the UK website cited near beginning of thread), which is over 30,000 USD ? Quite an increase from '06 prices.

 

Yes, but I think the increase to 16,000 GBP is not that much more than the 06 is.

There was another thread that talked about it from a % standpoint which in this case may work better.

 

Never direct convert. The 06 MCS in Britain was a little lower then the base 07 MCS, and the 06 wasn't 28000 or 29000 for a base model.
