It's not coming to the U.S. While we are changing our diesel to low sulfite in Sept the NOx emission standards are going to be tighter. The toyota diesel in the MINI One in Europe doesn't even meet current standards.
It's possible but unlikely they'll put a diesel in the Traveler in '08 since NOx emissions in passenger cars are classed by cargo capacity. However, I don't think MINI will bother trying to certify if for the U.S.
