Sorry, you just drove an 06 off the lot, I would expect a BIG hit come January, 07

I second surfblue's comment:

If your really a die hard ENTHUSIAST, you will enjoy and drive what you bought with no consideration of depreciation or milage... just continue to motor on and enjoy every last minute.

(Just trying to help )

Hmmmmm

Here is the thing to think about~There are things about the '07 that really flip my switch such as the push start feature, but I really like the current interior. I personally think that our "classics" will hold their value.

Chowzer, while U and I agree about many things (inc the GP and MC40) I totally disagree here. I mean, as of about 6 weeks ago, NADA didnt even have trade-in prices listed for 2005 models yet. My MA gave me a photocopy of the NADA sheet, and I tell ya while the 2002-04 Coopers have dropped some, trade-in value wise, the S's have really held well if they have certain options like moonroof, cruise, leather, H-K, etc. and are driven less than 12k miles/year. Yes features make a difference as well as mileage; I knew this when I used to appraise trade-ins at the GM/Chrysler d'ship in a former life...

So next August I'll get another copy of the same page and see just how much more the 2002-04 models have come down, which I expect them to do, and trade-in numbers for 2005 models. As for 06 models, it's just too recent to fashion a sound judgement, and as far as your assertion that 06 owners will see a big hit come January 07, that's nothing more than unsubstantiated hyperbole based solely on a new model release and probable market conditions. Won't happen, at least then, and if they do drop, it won't be for awhile. Best 'quenz
