"Future" MINI interior! SpyShots?

I found this by accident.
http://www.sharks.co.il/modules.php?...ewtopic&t=4699
I'm not sure I know what I am looking at! Some Forum with "spyshots"
It seems familar but yet I feel I've taken some drugs that distort reality.

Make up your own captions for the following-

Interior dash view

Closeup of Dash Speedo XXXLG

Detail Shift **** and DVD player

Door with two speakers and Wood finished pull

I think they've been posted on MotoringFile before. I feel like I've seen them somewhere else.

I see some potential. I'm confident MINI will get it right in the end.

Old news.... these were on the internet and in european magazines months ago. You can find an extensive write-up and discussion on motoringfile.com.

New Interior Details

Wow, I haven't seen these details yet. (I have seen a couple of photos in other euro mags/web).

Is that a BMW-like iDrive joystick?

I like the wood details, but some of the other elements seem a little too art-deco for my taste.

I also keep seeing exterior shots with DOUBLE-BUBBLE HEADLIGHTS. ??? Is that on the newer test cars or the older ones?

Name That Styling Feature...

Ok. Any guesses regarding the purpose of this:

Ripcord? Ejection Seat Activator? Chatty MINI?

The new MINI is rumored to have push button start and so that's the new button to start the engine I believe.

Maybe I had too much to drink last night but I didn't recognize it at the time I stumbled onto that site.

Now in the morning (finished with the iced tea hangover) I believe I have seen the very large speedo before.

The design seems much more retro than the current MINI.
Of note:
The wood dash pieces are symmetric
Where is the DVD screen? In the LCD Nav screen centrally?

Next time I'll take the green pill, not the red pill.

Of course I should have looked on motoringfile!!
http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/03/..._mini_revealed
"I should have had a V8".
But all I got is a 1.6!

More pics (just for fun)

Shows "new two spoke" steering wheel (possible for 2007)

NAV center screen, 1008= odometer? Gas level on the bottom. Speedo gauge on the outer rim but where's the needle to indicate speed? Done with lights?
White curved line with orange dot in center? What's that??!?

Close up of regular speedo. Seems more busy with LED display on two lines and "radio preset buttons below LED?" Red alarm indicator light on top of speedo. Ignition fob on dash to right of steering wheel? Nice subdued dark dull dash finish (the new anthracite??)

Dark finished door to match dash above. Note side mirror control in upper speaker trim. Lower speaker looks like 5.25" and upper speaker is rather large (for larger tweeter or maybe two way speaker with lower speaker for a 6.25" woofer? I wish). Large and long leather arm rest with no in door storage. No more vertical door pull (to scratch up).

Why buy an RX8 when you can get a MINI Clubman Estate?
It would make for a good US Postal vehicle in right hand driver model.

That's the first time I've seen the 3 spoke steering wheel on the 2007.

These pics are very interesting and, I agree, it will be interesting to see which, if any, or if all, make it to production. These latest pics minihune seem the most over-the-top of any I've seen previously. At least it seems we'll get to keep MINIs signature down-sized cup holders.

Wow...the a/c controls are SO mini....and kind of over-designed, as well. I like the wood, though....very nice.

I'm guessing the curved line with indicator in the center of the speedo is some sort of boost guage? Not sure...

Thanks for posting these pics, Minihune!

Sometimes the only way you know you already had an optimal design is when you go and mess it up.

Not that it is huge, but the cup holders look alot more usable.

Yup, My brain knew side "mirrors" but my fingers typed "windows"!

See what happens when you get old and decrepit!

At least we get to mull over these "new" designs.
Interesting but I really like my good ole MINI just fine.

I can't believe it's taken this long for these pics to get floated on NAM As minihune stated above... if you want a ton of details on the next generation MINI (interior seen above) check out this MotoringFile article from last March: Next Generation MINI Revealed

One thing they've taken away is the "draped" effect of the crrent dash on the central speedo. Those concept speedos seem 'slapped on' rather than nicely integrated in the current MINIs.

I see that dash and all I think about are rattles pops and squeaks. I hope they get it right, quality-wise, more than any other factor. Jimbo
