Hi all,

I want to remap my R56 N18 Mini Cooper S. I want to do a simple ECU unlock or Stage 1 at the current moment. I want to add slightly more power whilst maintaining stress levels to the car and not having to change mechanical components until later down the line if I opt to do more modifications

I currently have an AEM induction kit followed by a standard CAT paired with a full Miltek CAT back exhaust with no resonator

I’ve been advised by a few people to go to a Mini tuning specialists and not to use the likes of Avon Tuning etc

Does anyone have any good recommendations on tunes / garages for this ?

 

Where are you located? There are a few options in the USA that can perform remote tuning. In the UK, you might get a different answer.

 

I didnt know the N18 could be remote tuned, I have been putting off the tune for my R60 All4 S for that reason as its my main vehicle right now. If there is an option for a remote stage 2 tune, Im all ears!

 

Yes! Talk to @Lou@Prototype-R . He did a remote tune on my N18 R55 Clubman. The process was very painless and thorough.

 

I just sent him an email. What did you use for your tune? Tactrix or Powergate?

 

I think we used the Tactrix cable to tune the R55. He has moved around using a couple different platforms. Not sure what he is using currently.
