R56 Fan toggle switch
Fan toggle switch
Hi guys
So after a full engine rebuild and alot of mods, after shut off the hot turbo was causing my hood and whole engine bay to get extremly hot.
I tried connecting the fan up to a new relay and switch with no joy. So I came up with another idea which has worked but not sure if I will eventually cause any damage.
I have Connected 1 wire to pin 85 on the fan relay low speed and then to a toggle switch I have then connected a wire to a ground point and again to a toggle switch. Basically I have grounded out the low speed relay for the fan. This helps cool the turbo after shut down with just the ignition on. I am planning to run the fan for about 3 or 4 minutes. Is this set up safe enough to not fry anything?
Thanks
Jay
