Oil filter housing Vemo

I’m in need of a new oil filter housing. Was looking at the ECS offerings and saw this Vemo option that is a lot cheaper than Purflex or Mini. Anyone has experience with these and how reliable they are?!

Thanks!

Yes, I've used a lot if Vemo products restoring many MINI coopers, and I've never had an issue. And if you get it from ESC it has a lifetime warranty. Curious though, why would you need a new oil filter housing. It's not a high failure part.

thanks for your recommendation!

I’m leaking oil from it. I’ve already replaced the gaskets a few months ago. I’m thinking even if I screwed up the installation last time, if I’m going through all that work again might as well replace the whole thing for ~$120.

Seems to be just a machined chunk o' aluminum. Unless there's some reason to think it's been damaged, I can't imagine why it would require replacement...

I'd suggest you add some oil leak detection uv dye. It's available on Amazon. It will help you pinpoint the leak. There are also seals between the oil cooler and the manifold. That's where my leak was.
