2012 Hardtop Wheels for Winter

Hello all,

Just joined and first post.

Trying to get a second set of wheels for cheap in order to mount dedicated winter tires on. Been looking a lot, mostly for OEM used wheels but no luck. Found a set of used steel wheels today (see pic below) that I am unsure if they will fit. My stock wheels are 15"x5.5", 4x100 lug pattern, 45mm offset and 56.1mm hub. I believe these used steel wheels are 15"x6", 4x100 lug pattern, 41mm offset with a hub diameter unknown to me at this time. So, I have two questions: #1) Can I safely use a 1/2" wider wheel with a 41mm offset on my 2012 Hardtop? I realize that I would probably want to obtain an alternate tire tire size to make up the difference. #2) I'm guessing the hub opening diameter will be greater than my OEM 56.1mm, so is it safe to use the larger hub, especially if I'm unable to obtain centering rings for these specific wheels. I appreciate your time and help.

If your stock wheels are 15x5.5 +45... Cooper S wheels are 17x7 +48, so width of those wheel will not be an issue. As long as the center bore fits, those wheels should bolt right up.

Fore tire size, a good winter tire in a 185/60-15 would work well on the car.

Thank you for the response and the tire size recommendation as well.
