My secret compartment in the r56 is not opening good. When it opens it opens nicely but it’s like it doesn’t wanna open correctly it’s like it needs help opening just to get it started then it opens right away on its own. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and how to fix it? Thanks and have a great day!

 

It’s a bit of work to get the
assembly out, and there may
or may not be anything easily
fixable, as often there’s a
broken plastic part somewhere.
Rather than work to get it out
and probably fail to fix it, I got
a salvage assembly and swapped
it in.
Not too pricey and at least I knew
it would be fixed when I was done.

 

No I got it out and checked everything over when I took it out to modify to put my ecu in it for a kswap but it’s always been kind of sketchy on opening even before modifying it and I don’t know why.
