R56 Cts intake vs nm
Cts intake vs nm
Gonna swap my stock(jcw) intake for one of these. I've seen videos that the cts intake is fine as long as you don't have a late r56 n18. My car is a 12' but I don't know the production date. The price is insane compared to the NM unit
Any experience with this would be a great help.
Also, as with the n18, do I need to order the pcv heater delete kit?

Both of those intakes should come with the PCV heater resistors. If not, NM sells them as add-ons.
I think the biggest difference between the two intakes is the CTS uses the lower airbox, and the NM removes the full air box. The NM then includes a bracket to hold the OEM cold air pipe in place. Other than that, you're paying for big name with the NM. The NM looks better, in my opinion.

We have the ECS one but its universal for the catch can, i am running the design on my n14. +1 N18 does not seem to have the build up of the n14 engines. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...ine-emissions/

I'm adding the catch can and heater delete to help some of my particular situation. I keep reading the cts isn't a great fit for the n18 and needs some finesse. My crankcase breather is alittle beat up so this will help two birds. The heater delete is to eliminate a bad connector I have, bypass it gets rid of that bad connector
Btw, I ordered from you yesterday
