I am using a 2022 Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8 that has been jailbroken to access the Google Play store. It was not super challenging, I just followed the directions I found online (e.g.: https://www.wired.com/story/how-to-i...n-fire-tablet/)

I use it with a standard USB-C to USB-A adapter and the K+DCAN OBD2 cable from Bimmergeeks. I was initially using a cheaper Amazon cable and it mostly worked except for a few modules like the radio. Bimmergeeks said "yeah, most cables aren't that great and can choke on the larger modules, ours is tweaked so that it works better" and it definitely did.
