Ok so i have 2 minis, both 2010. i need to replace the remote to lock/unlock the doors. one car, all i have is the empty shell. it does have the transponder in there so it starts the car but there is no PCB with the lock/unlock/trunk buttons. that's all empty. so if i buy a replacement remote, i just need to reprogram the remote part, not the ignition part. i work at a shop and have access to SnapOn Triton and Versus scanners. i thought i saw somewhere it would sync up with a new remote if you start the car with it in there but i don't want to waste money buying a remote if i cant set it up. thanks
