Head Lamp Covers

Miss Mini got new head light covers today to replace the 12 year old faded originals. The most time consuming part of the install was cleaning out the old butyl adhesive. I am parked facing the sun so that the extra heat helped to soften the old butyl.

No, I didn't need to use a heat gun as it was a pretty warm day. I was able to pry the old ones off using a short thin pry bar. I bought the butyl bead on Amazon. It was 3/8" diameter bead which was a bit much but it stretches very easily so I was able to make it work.

Nice! We carry those lenses. Looks great! Yep the old butyl is hard to get out. https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/butyl/
