Mini R56 Cooper S, 2011, N18, wastegate actuator replacement

Having 2c57 and 2cb3 codes popping up and going to limp mode.
Found out by pulling vacuum on the wastegate actuator that it's impossible to build any, probably shot diaphragm inside. I'm looking for a replacement but most I could find, althought looking exactly the same, are for N14. Is there any difference between N14 and N18 wastegate actuators?

As I thought but wanted to be sure. there is a difference in heatshield and according to realoem.com there are few options for turbo that are only for n18.

Anyway, ordered wastegate actuator replacement and managed to replace the faulty one neasuring the exact arm distance that the original had. After a test run looks like everything is working and I forgot how thrilling that turbo boost is since mine was not active for at least 3-4 months.

OBD2 gauge that I have for monitoring temperature (autool x60 is also capable of displaying MAP boost reading and its spiking over 150kPa (21psi) and regularly hitting 19.5 psi and that sounds like a lot for this engine according to forums.

did you change actuator with the Turbo still connected? If so do you have any tips on reaching the bolts?

Didn’t have to remove turbo just removed the heatshield and some of the pipes on the right side. It was a bit tricky to reach but still doable. Had to use double extension with flexible joint to reach the bolts. It’s important to measure the actuator shaft wastgate arm position and reproduce the same with the new actuator.
