CAS 3 System Module and it's compatibility with other vehicles

Good day fellow Mini Owners, my vehicle is showing multiple systems of a failing CAS 3 Module. I am searching for a solution and looking into buying another Module and getting it cloned from the old one as recommended by most YouTube videos. I searched for the specific model CAS 3 Module and got some high prices. Digging deeper, I realized that searching using the part number "9147185", I am actually getting it for a lot less but are said to fit other model BMWs and not my Mini Cooper S. It's all the same part numbers so I just wanted to figure out if it is universal, I do know I have to program it to my VIN but would it work like normal , no matter what car it came from?

I suggest you just google mini cas repair service and use any of the reputable business that do 600 buck replacements with warranty. Just had to do it myself, would hate to get a used random unit from ebay and end up redoing paying for a flash a year down the line. Taking the dash out is not fast (although it was easier than I expected)
