Not new to Minis (2002 Vert, 2004MCS, 2009HT, 2011MCS, 2012CMS, 2012MCS, 2016CLS, 2022CMS) but very new to this forum.
Having a very peculiar issue with our new 2012 Mcs hardtop where at any given point while driving a very loud clicking & clacking mechanical sound occurs for about 15-20 seconds.
I’ve looked through a ton of forums with no success in finding someone posting about something similar
Sounds like it is coming from passenger side glovebox area. I thought blend door initially but it does not happen at all when you press the recirc button, only happens randomly going down the road.
This is not an interior rattle!! Please fill in if you have any experience with it. Thanks!
It may very well be the CV joints going bad. Double check to see any rips on the boots.
