So, I am in the process of completing the transmission valve body replacement and have the new one in. When i took the old one out, this fell and I didn’t see where it went and it isn’t showing in my pictures of the old one before I removed it. I’ve searched and can’t find any direct. Any ideas? (2008 s with auto tranny).



where does this go?

 

That goes to hold the temp sensor in place. A 10 mm bolt is used to hold it. Where did you get your VB from?

 

Thanks so much! I searched everywhere for a simple image for the location. I got my back r body through wolfsburg tuning and let say it took longer to get them to ship it than it should have. The needed me to send them pictures/measurements of the solenoids of my valve body so they could send me the correct one, even after providing the VIN. I searched other places and no one else seemed to have it.

Please let me know how it goes with their VB. I installed their solenoids but it didn't fix my issue, and on the hunt for the RIGHT VB. I've installed two so far with no success. The VB that's going in has to be the right match.
