Forge BOV question

Hello all,

I installed the Forge BOV (Forge Recirc Valve N18) a while ago then a oil catch can.

I noticed after installing the catch can (could be coincidental) that I no longer hear the pressure blow off when accelerating.

Also when doing a new battery registration, I found the DTC, 2c90 Blow off valve jammed closed, code hasn't showed up again.

Question, should I still hear the blow off valve sound with the catch can installed?

Would I need to revisit the BOV installation?

Cheers!

Did you install the "Diverter" valve, or the "Blow-Off" valve?

If you are getting a code for "Diverter Valve Jammed Closed," you will want to pull it off to make sure it still moves freely.

The Diverter / Blow-Off valve action should not be related to an oil catch can, unless you plumbed the catch can in wrong some how.

Looks like its the Forge Recirc valve, does the replacement valve stop the pressure sound (for lack of a better term)?
This install video I hear it, at the end during his test drive.
Will have to check the valve.

Cheers

Forge suggests servicing valve yearly, nothing in their instructions about this, see their reply.

Such a pain to get to the valve.

Thank you for your email.

When was the last time the valve was serviced?

We ask that the vale be serviced every year just like your engine would be as the O-rings wear etc.

I would get in contact with the company you purchased it from and ask to purchase a service kit 😊

Funny they recommend yearly service, but then don't publicize it... For point of reference, my Forge valve has been installed for over 4 years and has never been serviced.

I’m running the CTS BOV, with no issues. It fit perfectly and doesn’t seem to be as bulky as the forge unit. Got a smoking deal on Facebook, $100 bnib, I’m really happy with it. I did have a forge spacer, Alta spring, and new design dv, this was a nice setup and sound, but nothing like the CTS.
