I went over this topic with a friend who runs an independent German repair shop...
Many of his customers run 'catch cans' on their cars... but pay no mind to the volatility of the oil they run.... go figure.
Catch cans deal with with recovering VAPOR.... Oil Vapor to be exact...
IMO.. Best to minimize the "vapor" in the first place with a low volatility oil (Low NOACK number) oil to keep things clean !
