Resetting service life on brakes.

New to me, Mini owner, 2011 Base, hardtop, manual, 81,000 miles. Took the car into the dealer to check the AC. While they had it they said that brakes had about 1500 miles left front and rear. I was already going to change out rotors, pads, and sensors myself. Once I finish do I need to reset anything to indicate new pads etc.? If I need to reset something, I have an Autel MD806 Pro scan tool I use for my other cars and it supports Mini according to Autel. I haven't verified this yet. Does anyone have experience with an Autel unit and the Mini? Thanks,
John

You can reset service stuff from in the mini. Get in doors closed. Insert key and key on but do not start the car. Hold trip reset for 10 seconds, you will see it enter the service menu, if you see your vin just keeping holding it will recirculate through the menu. Then press button on turn signal stalk to switch between the options, once you see what you want to reset hold the button down until it gives the option to reset. I’ll grab a pic of this out of my Haynes manual when I get home.
