Best intercooler
I'm looking to replace my stock intercooler for a upgraded one.
I'm looking to see which one those have decided to upgrade went
with. I've been looking at several different ones Forged, Wagner,
Helix, CTS, ATM, lastly the cheap EBAY ones G-Plus. Can anyone chime
into see which one your using and have any complaints with either.

I have had a G-Plus installed for the past 3-4 years and has worked fantastic. I currently run a Manic stage 2 tune, and have no issue with the intercooler. It is a bar and plate design with cast end tanks - a knock off of the Wagner competition intercooler. I also like that its painted black for stealth.

Just bought this and installed it. $150
I cannot believe I have been running without an upgraded intercooler. My 07 R56 S feels like its double the boost!!! I'm actually burning tires now! I have K&N cold air intake, after turbo downpipe to the intercooler and this thing flies!
Best upgrade ever, especially for the $$$$.

I have the coated Wagner IC and I'm pretty happy with it. I did buy it used but despite some light wear, it works great, and I feel the coating does help. Not only does it hide behind my Grille Master grille stealthily, it's got decent volume and consistent behavior.
I think the $600 +/- price range is okay, maybe expensive, but from a reputable company, that guarantees some level of customer service and quality control. I think you could go the custom route and spend about the same, but it would likely be more expensive and if you're going more expensive, get the $1000 full-height IC. I wouldn't get some cheap ebay IC, as I have seen problems with both foreign materials not being cleaned out of the part, and clear quality control issues.
