Good day all. I’m a new mini owner, 2008 R56, and I just finished replacing the door lock actuator on the driver’s door. I have searched the world over for the issue that I am having and haven’t had any luck. When reinstalling the drivers window, the little bugger won’t roll all the way down. I’ve checked inside the door panel and I don’t see any cables or wires preventing or impeding movement of the window. I’ve moved the window back and forth in the frame and tried to have it function correctly but am still having issues. Can anyone offer any advice???

 

Could it be that the glass is resting on top of (one of) the two screws that are supposed to go through the holes in the glass?

If you are unsure: loosen the two screws a bit and try to lift the glass. If you can raise it by more than half an inch, the screws are not going through the holes.

If the glass is fitted correctly, try to reset the window actuator.
