Hi folks. I've learned so much here so have to say thank you again to all the great information I find on these forums.
Maybe it's because my MINI is now 12 years old, but I'm much more likely to try fixing things myself now.
In December I noticed the coolant hoses hanging beneath the front cowl of my 2009 Mini Cooper S. It would have been a much easier fix if I had ramps but I was able to fix them myself.
I also replaced the battery for the second time, getting a DieHard Platinum this time. Easy peasy and I don't have to do anything with the reset. All I had to do was update the clock.
Lastly, I replaced the non-replaceable rechargeable lithium battery in my fob. I've never even soldered before. Hahaha. That saved me a ton of money plus I'm not nuts about bringing my car anywhere with the covid uptick.
Here are a few pix. Does anyone else share this? Kind of a "I may as well try it" attitude now that your MINI is a bit older? My car is still in great condition, I'm just more likely to try things myself. Nothing too complicated, just things I think I can handle.
Replacing fob battery, shell, trim ring Nothin' like a new battery! LOL
