Hi Guys, I have a 2007 Cooper S and am looking for some exhaust advice/info.
The previous owner deleted the resonator and the poor welds let go while driving. I took it to a shop for repair and the system is full of holes and leaks up to the cat. The shop seems to think the manifold/cat/flex pipe are one piece and midpipes and muffler are a second piece.
Is this true about the exhaust setup? I figure it would be the manifold -> turbo -> downpipe (with cat) -> midpipe/muffler section.
What would be recommendations for a cheaper replacement? Buy a downpipe and have the rest fabbed locally? The muffler is in good shape and the hangers are solid.
