R56 - N12 Valve seal replace

My daughter's car was generating tons of smoke at idle. The engine has good compression and the car was using oil, about 1 liter per 1000 kilometers. Last weekend I tackled the valve seals replacement with the cylinder head on the car using compress air @60 PSI. Also, the timing chain was replaced. The timing kit was purchased to ECS tuning.
below there are some photos of the work. The more difficult issue was to remove the intermediate shaft sensor. I did not see the Allen bolt that was holding the sensor … took a while but I figured out. After the job was completed the smoke is gone, the oil consumption also. Thanks to the forum, for all the useful information.

spring compressor and compress air to maintain the valve close

Amazon timing tool work well, but the locking tool for the crank shaft require a little sanding.

Amazon plier to remove the seals..

Intermediate spring compressor tool. very useful , make the springs installation a breeze. Purchase from Ali Express

NICELY DONE!

If you have time, would appreciate links - esp on the Ali Express stuff (I always have a hard time finding things on their site)...
