R56 HELP: AC and Vent Selector No Worky
HELP: AC and Vent Selector No Worky
So I finally installed an amp (speakers to follow) in my '08 Cooper S. Tapped the front speaker inputs from the head-unit, ran power from the battery, grounded on the rear seatbelt anchor, ran the now-amplified signal back towards the dash to mate up to the stock speaker wires. The rear speakers will get new wires directly from the amp when I take the back of the car apart to do that install.
I took the remote from the X15 connector in the footwell as Integral Audio's install instructions suggest for their equipment. The amp is currently sitting in the trunk and is working fine. Unfortunately, my AC button no longer lights up, and the vent selector no longer changes the source of the air flow. The fan control and temperature control, along with the recirculation and rear defroster both still work fine.
Now, when I hook up my OBD2 scanner to the AC control module, and look at the data feed, the OBD2 registers the clock position of the vent selector, but that fails to translate into moving the air around. Ie, it knows the switch is moving, but doesn't do anything about it. OBD2 doesn't seem to notice a button for the AC. Would love to get the AC back. Any thoughts/ ideas/ suggestions?
