Been having issues with intermittent reverse lights with my manual R56. Sometimes it will stay on while in gear, sometimes it flickers randomly while in gear, sometimes it will be on when slowing down (braking). I changed out the back up light switch and still experiencing problems.

Anyone else have seen this issue? Since I changed the SW, we can rule that out, but would that seem like the culprit is the footwell module? or possibly the wiring? I have a hard time thinking it's a module.

 

I would check the ground. A bad ground will cause strange things to happen.

 

does the switch wiring go directly to the footwell module? I’m wondering what grounds to check because all the other lights work correctly.
