Is there a difference between the various colors of trim clips besides the color? I've seen white, yellow, green, and red. Some of these seem to break when removing various panels. Probably because I am not being patient enough. Here's a pic of the yellow one from the ECS site. My plan is to just keep a bunch of them on hand. Thanks in advance for your help!
They color code them i think for factory line install and type. Some look the same and have different colors. You can get them on our site by part number or get a this have it for BMWs and MINI clips:
Spraying them with WD-40 or silicone spray and trying different pry tools can help. But some are just not going to budge no matter what and have to be broken and replaced.
Having a plethora of plastic non-marring interior trim removal tools are worth their weight in gold. Additionally having knowledge from a video on where clips are located and how they are actuated to secure or separate is valuable as well. I've had moderate success in locating online tutorials, or youtube videos to get an idea of the how, before diving in.
