Hi-Fi Replacement Speaker Options/ Audio Upgrades

Hi all. Proud new owner of a R56 base with what I have found is the Hi-Fi upgrade (a pillar tweeters but no HK logos). I love the car but the audio just plain sucks. The system in my no frills 01 Tacoma work truck is miles better. It distorts horribly with even the littlest hint of bass when the volume is up. As it has the PANO roof, I have the stereo up a bunch. What all have y'all done about this? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm ready to tear up the highway in this thing!

This is for NON Hifi, but you can add a amp/speaker to add bass:
