Just picked up a 2012 Mini hatch non s. It as 82 K on the clock and a manual transmission. Not knowing the last maintenance that was done for sure I plan to change both the Oil and trans fluid, I did not a search but since I am new to the Mini don't know the differences between the various years yet so a couple of questions.

1. What fluid should I use in the manual. Redline MTL Okay, Pennzoil Sycromesh? Something else? Looks like 1.8 quarts I know there is BMW spec stuff in the manual but that is not available locally for me.
2. Oil 5-30 synthenic little less than 5 quarts from what I read.
3. Plan to rotate the tires
4 Anything else come to mind to check?

I did do a check on the clutch and it seems good. kills the engine immeadiatly from a dead stop in in 4th with the e brake on.
